Eleventh week of life
The Senorita's, started out their eleventh week with a new deck.
After all the rain Tropical Storm Fay dropped on us and mostly the showers following the days after,
it was impossible for me to keep looking for my books,
under all the sand, mud and dust the girls dragged into my study.
So we had my brother build them a 10 X 20 deck.
Now they can step in and out and not drag in mud.
They don't have the full run of the yard right now, but neither does anyone else.
Not until we dry up a bit, but now we have hurricane Gustav & Hanna on either side of us.

I also had hubby start a stone path, so I don't have to skate in the mud :)
I had the men working, they call me "Sergeant Major"
thanks to Mr. Brian Wessels DVM :) You started it BRIAN!
Every time I came out of the house to check on the progress, both my brother and husband
would stand at and say "attention".

The puppy's, they just love it.

Below: Nena tried so hard to get Oslo to crack a smile :)
When she exhausted all ways possible, she gave up and fell asleep with him.
Nena really has great respect for the 84 year old man.
She shares everything she carries with him, but he pays no mind.
She jumps into the dog bed with him.
She shares the pink Magilla Gorilla with him, but it doesn't faze him.
So Nena tosses Magilla Gorilla to the other side of the room and carries a ball to Oslo.
Nena was so certain this would make him proud of her.
She tells him "look Oslo, look at what I carried for you" ;)
Oslo takes one look and Nena, not the ball.
And turns his head the other way.
My poor Nena, exhausted but not pooped, she has given up on Oslo.
She says "Ma' the ball & Magilla Gorilla are behind me now".
So what is next...........hmmm how about tug of war with Negra ;)
They tossed, pulled, ripped and chewed everything!
My Minne Tonka suede house slippers! (yes I took them away)
Anaya's Nemo slippers!............The pink Magilla Gorilla!
The lavender Gecko! :)))
And oh yeah! They even tried to pull and chew on me....wink, wink
And time after time, it would be Nena that had to have the last hurrah!
She pulled everything out of Negra's mouth.
So I told her, she should be able to pull a cruise liner ;)
Hey! Would you tell me what would two, old, tired & working men have to do
to get some peace an quiet around here???????
Even poor Nina, got up and walked away.
At eleven weeks, they are always awake and busy ;))))
This is why when puppies go to their new homes, they should never be left unattended.
They should have adult supervision at all times,
They should not spend their days in a crate, but only for training purposes.
The crate is NOT a puppy sitter. Leaving your puppy in a crate, while your off to work,
will increase the pups chance of orthopedic issues,
socialization & destruction problems and elimination in your home.
Again, as I always say "If you don't have time for a baby, you don't have time for a puppy."

Negra says:
Either plan to be on vacation, have a dog sitter/daycare or take the me to work with you!

Nena says:
Ay Chihuahua! We need love, affection and attention.

Ok, Ok, Ok! Can I please breath now :)

Oslo says:
Me, I will just be happy when they become "coach potatoes".
