Eleventh, Twelfth & Thirteenth week of life
On the eleventh week, the Senorita's had a four legged visitor.
His name was "Kermit" the Newf. & owner "Bonnie"
Nena & Bonnie
They played (controlled) and had a blast.

Up until they went into the other side, of the AC'ed puppy door :)
Nena............................................Negra..................................Kermit
Twelfth week of life
This was one of the saddest weeks of our lives.
Nena developed a reaction to her Distemper/Parvo vaccine.
She had rotating lameness on all four of her legs, swollen elbows, pain, lethargic & fever.
When taken to the Vet, it was narrowed down to my belief! VACCINE REACTION
Nena was treated for "Immune Mediated-Poly Arthritis".
It was so painful to know that in doing what I thought was best for my puppy,
In attempting to protect her from immediate canine diseases,
I did past practice and we had to deal with something we have never had in a puppy before.
I blamed myself for her pain and that I couldn't stop crying for days.
I could stop holding her and rocking her back and forth.
I know vaccines can cause these things to happen, I know that there is harm and chances
we take when vaccinating. As much as I thought I was ready not to vaccinate, after much
thought, reading and consulting with my NY Vet's. We must vaccinate, especially if we live
in a community where certain disease are prevalent.
Will I continue to educate myself..........You bet
Will I continue to vaccinate..........I have no choice
Will it minimal vaccinating as in the past............Always
Will I not vaccinate someday .........I hope
There's still so much I must learn, read facts and continue to contact superb sources.
I do believe vaccine's can cause more harm then good, in the long run.
But had I never vaccinated the girls at 8 weeks, who knows it could have been worse.
And then I would have blamed myself for not vaccinating.
Nena has recovered physically from her vaccine reaction, with western & homeopathic care.
Titer's will be performed before she is vaccinated again.
I will, do more homework and plan to set up a page on my site on all my findings.

Nena just wanted to sleep away her pain :(
Thirteenth week of life
Nena was better and both her and Negra, played one last time in the yard.
Negra now known as "Norah" is residing in VA, with her half brother Hank and new sister Hannah.
We believe Norah has great show potential. If she matures as such, she will be shown.
If not she will be loved as a great companion that she is by her forever family.
Nena & Norah at 2 in the morning, before Norah headed home to VA.
Norah is on the right, she has designer spots on her lovely tongue.
We will have updates on Norah and posted them as they come in.
Was it hard to let Norah go? Of course, but we always do what is best for our babies.
