  Eighth  week of life

What a look "Nena" has on her face ;)

Her sister "Negra" has begun to dip her paws in the water bowl also ;)

Nena is no longer the queen of the water!

Miss Negra

Miss Nena

They love their raw chicken backs!

After much debate, reading, and advice we decided to vaccinate the Senoritas.

I so wanted not to vaccinate these girls, I even purchased much treatment kits for Parvo etc.

But its no joke down here! After contacting Dr. J. Dobbs, they have been vaccinated per Dr. J. Dobbs protocol.

Parvo/Distemper 8 & 12 weeks, then at 12 months, titers after that.

They will have minimal vaccination as all of our dogs here at home have had.

We have always followed Dr. Dobbs protocol and require our puppy homes to do the same.

The difference now is that the 16 wk vaccine is optional (we will not give it)

So they went out side, after 8 long weeks of whelping box, family room & poolside.

This photo was taken from afar, but I admire this stack.

Mommy Celine has decided to take every stuff toy and unstuff it ;(

So we have to keep asking her to hand them over ;)

Normally Kongo meets his kids by 3 weeks, but this time we waited to vaccinate.

And he is such a guardian over his kids. We let Oslo out to be with them as well,

but Kongo charged him back in. So we are letting Daddy Kongo do his share in caring for them.

Kongo & his daughters, he cares for them so much and listens to their complaints ;)

Yes, that is Celine fighting for a stuffed toy!

and Kongo listening to another complaint.

The two hooligans up to no good :)))

Celine, still cleans her daughters.

Negra stack's, while Nena drinks up all the refreshment ;)

Sweet Kongo, smooching with Nena.

Miss Nena, doesn't know whether to eat drink or what, first?

I had a puppy door placed in my study doorway,

so they can come in and out of the AC, as the like.

But when they come in their space is very limited.

As they are crate training and bladder training at the same time.

There is just enough room for them to lay down.

If they have to wee or poop, they have to go out.

They are superb, fast learners, they are holding their wee through the night.

But of course they stop having access to water at 8pm.

Did you think there would be a week,

that Miss Nena would keep her feet out the drinking water?  HA HA HA

We didn't think so either. Poor "Negra" on the left, gets sloppy seconds on the water.

OK, Nena please wake me up when your done!

Fat chance she'll be letting me drink water. She fell asleep in the bucket.

The big guys in the back ground, wait for the puppies to be placed in the puppy area.

Now the big guys come out and enjoy the yard.

But its not long before they start to lounge in the morning.

They like to lay in an area, where the water drain drips into the ground.

As you can see they have worn out the grass in this area ;)

NOW BACK TO LAS SENORITA'S

Amorosa's No Le Pegue A La Negra "Negra"

Will be owned, loved and cherished by Jane Cornett.

She will live with her older half brother "Hank"

Hank is presently the #15 Newfoundland in the country.

It will be hard to part from "Negra".

As they are both each others side kick and entertainment.

Negra is truly a people companion, she goes up to everything and everyone.

She is very confident, outgoing, sweet and a love bug!

Loves to be on her back and have her tummy rubbed.

Her confirmation has stayed strong and consistent all these weeks.

If she matures to have the show potential I see now, she will be shown to her championship.

Regardless she will be Jane's companion and loved forever.

Ok, I have to stop, as I have tears flowing now.

But Jane had tears as well, tears of joy and those are most important.

After much thought in the first weeks, the best thing for me and the Senoritas,

are individual homes for much love and proper training.

It is hard to let go, when you truly love the breed and are a responsible breeder.

When you have 4 - 8 puppies, with many personalities, its time for them to leave at 9 weeks.

But when you have had two great ones that get along so well and very identical in many ways.

Time has flown. I will always remember when each one was born, when I broke their sacs

so they could breath, when I suctioned their nose/mouth with my mouth, to clear the

fluid from their lungs. And I will always here them suckling, what a great sound....smile

Amorosa's Dance Like There Is No Tomorrow "Nena"

Will remain with us

Negra & Nena will go to the cardiologist next week.

Then Negra will go to mommy Jane in VA.

So they will both be together at least until the first weekend of Sept.

Thank you so much for tuning in every week......hugs & belly rubs from N & N.
